The Kai Po Che actor Sushant Singh Rajput has allegedly suspectedly died by suicide at his Bandra home in Mumbai. The man who starred Chhichhore – “A movie that beautifully dealt with how to battle suicidal thoughts. We just never know what a person is going through”. He tried to heal others through his movie because he knew what it feels like. Though he was a brilliant Bollywood actor   but he wasn’t the first person who took this step to cure his mental pressure. There can be many reasons for why “Mental Health” is “Not a Thing in India” , can be lack of acceptance, lack of awareness, ignorance, pressure, social and cultural belief. According to the WHO study around 200 million people in India may suffer from depression   ie ; 1 in a 5 people .   This is just the data who have spoken about it. For instance, if a Indian Child goes to his/her parents talking about mental issue may be occurring due to child’s career or maybe societal factors; what happens ultimate...

#Post 16 : SUICIDE IS NEVER AN OPTION

“Why does the wish to live ever, even temporarily, triumph over the wish to die?” Karl Menninger questioned in his book called “Man against Himself”.   The burden you silently carry within yourself, isn’t it too heavy to be carried alone?    “Depression”  is the least talked about in India, as it’s still considered as “Taboo” in many parts of India. One such was a young man was Sushant Singh,   who was an actor, a dancer, a television personality, an entrepreneur and a Philanthropist, who took his own life today. This was a death that came to light because he was a celebrity. However, many such deaths go unnoticed. It could be anyone of us. It could be anyone among one of our friends, the boy/girl who lives next door, it could be that one “disturbed face” person whom you always notice in the class or it could be someone who always wears smile on their face & jokes around most of time. We may never know. But we MUST know that   Mental illness is NOT A JO...

#Post 15 : Did OPEC sell out its Chances of Losing against Falling Crude Oil Prices?

The dependency of economies on crude oil to sustain development was highlighted in front of us in a very tragic way, when oil companies faced the biggest hit in their entire history during April 2020. (The day April 20, 2020, was renowned by “Black Monday” and will be a significant day in the history of future literature. The impact was so fierce that G20 countries conducted an urgent three day (April 9, 10, and 12) virtual meeting to plan and discuss for cutting oil supplies on a priority basis to restore the equilibrium between global demand and supply of crude oil. Moreover, if the oversupply of crude oil would have continued it would have further added nearly 1.3 Bn barrels to global crude oil stocks.   Insights ( * from OPEC )  In 2019, OPEC’s contribution towards global crude oil production stands for 29.33 m b/d ( million barrels/ day ) which was nearly 39% of the world output.  In April 2020, during Extraordinary OPEC and Non-OPEC ...

#Post 14 : Moratorium

Do you really think that Moratorium has benefited all the people who have opted for this service? According to me it has been a mixed effect on the individuals. Due to the global pandemic, whole world was just trying to protect itself from the disease “Coronavirus” and the people were trying to retain their jobs as many organization were laying off the employees. At that time RBI has allowed the banks and NBFC’s to offer moratorium to its customers on 27th March 2020 so that the customers can have a relief for repaying the loan for some time as it can be pushed ahead for 3 months. On 22nd May, RBI once again allowed the banks and NBFC’s  One of the features of the moratorium that attracted most to the customers was that they only have to incur the extra interest charges for the 3 month and the loan amount with the earlier interest can be paid after 3 months. RBI cleared that if the individual opt for the moratorium and are not paying the outstanding balance, their credit score will...

#Post 13 : Online education or E- classrooms during COVID-19 lockdown.

COVID-19 has gradually caused shutdown of schools all over the world. In this duration many online platforms like Zoom and Google Classroom have come up which are helping students to continue their learning process. These online learning platforms have offered several benefits for teachers and opportunities for students. But as there are two faces of coin so similarly there both pros and cons of online education also. Students are not familiar with online classes, they are facing issues regarding how to use the platform and also facing network issues. The network issues can be resolved and once students learn how to use the online platform, it will be very easy for them to get online education, do the group studies and discussions also. E-learning has helped in reducing the time constraints and digital classroom format it is economical because online learning is cheaper as compared to classroom training.
