As you all know that the nation is in Lockdown from 25th March and due to that issue, schools, offices and all the industries are not able to perform as per their standards. All the industries are using the online platform in order to communicate with the colleagues for office work and even the educational institutions are also using the online platform to proceed with the education process for the completion of the studies of the students.

Zoom, Google Hangouts, Microsoft Teams and other products were used for the video conferencing and to proceed with the office work and for the education. Overnight, Zoom became popular among all the other products as people were using Zoom more and more for the work. Later on the Indian Government announced that the Zoom app is not secure and not to use for the official or educational purpose as the data are not secure.

The Government came up with a new proposal of building the video conferencing solution to the developers and invited them to build the product and the company who will build the best product will have the chance of winning 1 crore from the government.

As we all know that the IT industry has the capacity to work from home and they are the people who need the assistance and continuous involvement of the other colleagues within a project and for them, the video conferencing application is must. The initiative of the government has three phases:

Stage 1: In the first stagethe team has to come up with the detailed report of their app concept and also with the features. Among that team, the Government will look into thee app concept and top team will be selected and rewarded with 5 lakh rupees to go ahead to develop the app.

Stage 2: In the second stage, the top 10 teams have to present their prototype to the jury of the member selected by the Government of India and they will select the 3 team among the 10 team to build the final product with the 20 lakh rupee to complete the app.

Stage 3: In the last stage, the Indian Government will announce the winning team and they will be rewarded with Rs1 Crore and also they will receive the official certification signed by Ministry of Electronics & IT.

The winning App will be used by both Central and State Government for 1 year and the developer team will receive 10 lakhs per year for operations and maintenance. This is a good initiative taken by the Government of India for Make In India.

Currently the Government has shortlisted the 10 companies who are going to build the prototype are: Zoho, HCL Technologies, PeopleLink, Aria Telecom, CyberHorizon Corp, Instrive SoftlabsPeopleLink Unified Communications Sarv Webs, Soulpage IT Solutions, Techgentsia Software Technologies and Data Ingnious.

#Post 20 : WHY FACEBOOK INVESTED IN JIO?

With its $ 5.7 billion investment, Facebook is now Reliance Jio’s largest minority shareholder. This was accompanied by a pact between WhatsApp and Reliance Retail to boost the latter’s JioMart platform.  However, Facebook has been spreading its roots in digital media market by making heavy investments like,   The social media giant bought Instagram for $1 billion in 2012,   WhatsApp for $19 billion in 2014,   and virtual reality firm Oculus VR the same year for another $2 billion.   In all three instances, the common denominators were obvious. The deals all gave Facebook majority of ownership, and brought in technology that the  world’s largest social network  either didn’t have, or saw as prime bolt-on acquisitions. Now its latest investment is of almost $5.7 billion in Reliance’s Jio — for just 10 per cent stake. India is among the largest communities globally for the company, with close to 328 million users. Instagram has millions of accounts in India, and Wh

#Post 23 : Is Artificial intelligence (A.I.) Powering our strength?

In layman’s terms, artificial intelligence means to give robots and machines the ability to think by analyzing data-based information, behavior, or any characteristics. Elon Musk during his speech at MIT in 2014 compared artificial intelligence as summoning the demon and has quoted "I do think we need to be very careful about the advancement of AI".  However, some potential billionaires in the tech world don’t conclude A.I as Elon Musk does. Resultantly, the pull of heavy investment and acqui-hire by the start-ups is being witnessed from some significant market players like Amazon, Google, Facebook and Microsoft and tech giants. In the present scenario, A.I. has been a prime-focus in building automation to compensate for human accuracy where there is a lack of man-power and constant efforts are being made in areas where human intelligence can be replaced. For instance, healthcare, sales, logistics, research, data analytics and several others are the corners of the world where
