Road accidents have become the order for the people in India. Every time we just listen about the accidents happening within the country. Daily half of the newspapers are filled with the news of the accidents.

In the daily accidents, many of them loose their life and the parents lose their children, many of them lose their parents and the children become orphan. People just step out of their house for some work and after some time their family get news that their family member met with an accident.

According to the Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways had a survey and found that every day almost 400 people lose their life in the accidents and 50% of them are Youth of the Country.
In India in 2018, more than 4 lakh accidents were witnessed which claimed lives of over 1.5 lakh people, data from the ministry of road transport and highways has revealed. India ranks 1st in the number of road accident deaths across the 199 countries reported in the World Road Statistics, 2018 followed by China and US.

As per the WHO Global Report on Road Safety 2018, India accounts for almost 11% of the accident related deaths in the World.

The Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019 is one of the way through which the road accidents can be decreased as the penalties for violating the rules has been increased as per the new norms.

Major changes which has been made are, the fine for drink and drive cases has been raised from Rs 2,000 to Rs. 10,000 and driving without the seat-belt is of Rs 1,000 as previously it was Rs 100.

Nowadays you can see the youth loosing their life in racing with other vehicles and the fine for that is Rs 5,000, while the fine for overloading  of two-wheelers is Rs 20,000, including disqualification of drivers license for three months.

The deals all gave Facebook majority of ownership, and brought in technology that the  world’s largest social network  either didn’t have, or saw as prime bolt-on acquisitions. Now its latest investment is of almost $5.7 billion in Reliance’s Jio — for just 10 per cent stake.
