#Post 6 : Knowledge Centre

The year 2020, has been a wonderful year till now (trust me you will realize it later). The presence of COVID-19 has taught masses that following a strict 9-5 routine is not enough, addition is always required to develop, as quoted by the corporates, “there is always room for improvement”. However, this addition to knowledge is neither about binge-watching courses during free time to add certificates nor it’s about sitting ideal and to binge-watch sci-fi shows just to know the human evolution (well Mahabharat is an exception) or to find the secrets behind UFO sightings, as its generally like to boil the ocean.

The experience of adulting or adding an extra skillset to come out from a subjective ideology is also a part of adding evocativeness to knowledge. Even a simple habit of writing a diary is a part of adulting with discipline. However, skillsets are a significant part of our daily work profile, hence adding them can help us DIY our daily tasks.

Conclusion:

Deciding which skill to add create a balance between our knowledge and adulting process. Hence one should focus on topics of their domain. For instance, if you are an aspirant/ working in operations management you can look for magazines or courses that provide information about procurement strategy, TQM, operations and supply management, six sigma and several others that can help you to understand your field better and are a part of your work. #Post 20 : WHY FACEBOOK INVESTED IN JIO?

With its $ 5.7 billion investment, Facebook is now Reliance Jio’s largest minority shareholder. This was accompanied by a pact between WhatsApp and Reliance Retail to boost the latter’s JioMart platform.  However, Facebook has been spreading its roots in digital media market by making heavy investments like,   The social media giant bought Instagram for $1 billion in 2012,   WhatsApp for $19 billion in 2014,   and virtual reality firm Oculus VR the same year for another $2 billion.   In all three instances, the common denominators were obvious. The deals all gave Facebook majority of ownership, and brought in technology that the  world’s largest social network  either didn’t have, or saw as prime bolt-on acquisitions. Now its latest investment is of almost $5.7 billion in Reliance’s Jio — for just 10 per cent stake. India is among the largest communities global...
