#Post 3 : Never let unemployment fail you

What's like being unemployed in current era of pandemic?

-It's when you have knocked every single door and you still can't find a single recruiter who would take your idea seriously.
-It's when no one return your phone calls & you are left with many questions defining your worth.
-It's when less people check on you.
-When any night is not enough to give u a satisfactory sound sleep.
-If this isn't enough to make the situation worse, then welcome to the receptive world where most of your emails/phone calls are almost scams trying to trick you into depositing funds in order to give you a promising job. Now that's a pitfall.

Statistics prove that unemployment rate in India is currently as high as 20.8%, which is 3 times more than that of Jan which was nearly 7.22%.

If you're a job seeker like me, then I would like to share some tips to your attention:

1. Apply to postings ONLY from the company's official career site.
2. Update your LinkedIn profile & connect with as many people as you can in order to expand your network.
3. Don't hesitate to message/ask someone if you think they can be of any help and make sure it's a professional one.
4. Connect with employees of the company you want to get into.
5. Please avoid PAYING money to anyone who is promising you about the Job. It's a SCAM. A company will NEVER ask you to pay them before starting.
6. Don't let such downfalls hold you back, for as long as you're not losing your zeal in life, you WILL rise over it.

Remember, "mental toughness" is really the intangible skill that help us survive the tough times.

#Post 20 : WHY FACEBOOK INVESTED IN JIO?

With its $ 5.7 billion investment, Facebook is now Reliance Jio’s largest minority shareholder. This was accompanied by a pact between WhatsApp and Reliance Retail to boost the latter’s JioMart platform.  However, Facebook has been spreading its roots in digital media market by making heavy investments like,   The social media giant bought Instagram for $1 billion in 2012,   WhatsApp for $19 billion in 2014,   and virtual reality firm Oculus VR the same year for another $2 billion.   In all three instances, the common denominators were obvious. The deals all gave Facebook majority of ownership, and brought in technology that the  world’s largest social network  either didn’t have, or saw as prime bolt-on acquisitions. Now its latest investment is of almost $5.7 billion in Reliance’s Jio — for just 10 per cent stake. India is among the largest communities global...
